Number steps on screen
The numbered step tool drops a badge with the next number each time you tap: 1, 2, 3 and so on.
Pick the numbered step tool (8) and tap where you want a badge. The first one is 1, the next is 2, and so on.
Place steps
- Pick the numbered step on the toolbar, or press
8. - Tap on the screen. A filled disc with a number appears.
- Keep tapping to add the next numbers.
The badge takes the current colour, and its number is drawn in black or white, whichever is readable on that colour. Its size follows the current stroke weight.
How the numbers are chosen
Each new badge gets the highest number on screen plus one. That means:
- Numbers never change after you place them. Adding more badges doesn’t renumber the old ones.
- Undoing the last badge frees its number, so the next tap reuses it.
- Erasing a badge from the middle leaves a gap. The next badge still continues from the highest number.
- Clearing the screen starts again from 1.
Line styles don’t apply
A badge is a filled disc, so the toolbar dims the line style buttons while the numbered step tool is selected.
