“Which button?”
Settings pages are full of look-alike buttons. Words alone send people to the wrong one.
For support and helping someone out
Whether it’s a customer, a colleague or your parents, walking someone through a screen by voice is slow. Share your screen, number the steps, point at the button, and they get it the first time.

The problem
Settings pages are full of look-alike buttons. Words alone send people to the wrong one.
Five instructions in a row, and someone misses the third.
Every “no, not that one” adds minutes to a support call.
How LivePen helps
Drop 1, 2, 3 on the screen in the order to click, before doing any of it.
Unmistakable, even on a small laptop screen at the other end.
Frame the toggle or field they need to change.
Stamp a check mark when a step is done, from 1,848 icons.
Set up in a minute
Open the settings, app or page you’re explaining.
⌥⇧D, then number the steps and point at each button.
Press ⌥⇧D, click through the steps, and they follow along on their own screen.
Tips
Draw all the steps first, then do them: the person you’re helping can copy you as you go.
Use “Keep the drawing” to leave the numbers up while you click through, then clear with ⌥⇧C.
Big and thick beats neat: the other person may be on a small screen.
